I cannot believe I am sitting down right now about to write my very last post of 2017! Crazy right?! I still cannot believe in just a couple short days we will be saying goodbye to 2017 and welcoming in the new year. As I sit in my apartment writing up this post, I can’t help but reflect on how incredible this past year has been. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have had & the amazing people I got to meet along the way. It is very scary starting your own business at such a young age. But it is clients like these two that remind me how incredible my job really is!! Meet Heather + Junior! 🙂
Just a couple weeks ago I met Heather + Junior at their wedding consultation! As we discussed wedding details for next year, we tried to plan a weekend for their engagement session. We decided on a day and just kept our fingers crossed we would not get any rain!! As the weekend was approaching, New England was about to get their first snow storm of the year. Heather right away messaged me about the storm, but I told her not to worry because the first snow fall of every year is always the prettiest! As long as these two did not mind a little adventure in the snow, I had a feeling it was going to be incredible!
I showed up to Borderland Park in Easton, Massachusetts a couple minutes before our session began. Believe it or not, I have been to this park (& photographed in it) several times, but never have I visited when it snowed! We also met during the middle of the day when the sun was at its highest peak. Luckily in the winter time, the sun is not to harsh! Regardless of the conditions, I knew in the back of my mind we were going to create beautiful images! AND WE SURE DID!
I am looking forward to photographing these two on their wedding day next year…. when we have a different season as well! Thank you Heather + Junior for barring the cold weather, hiking in the snow, trusting me with my crazy ideas and for being that couple that makes me realize how incredibly lucky I am to have the BEST job in the world 🙂 I hope everyone has a safe & happy new year!
