I cannot believe I am sitting down right now about to write my very last post of 2017! Crazy right?! I still cannot believe in just a couple short days we will be saying goodbye to 2017 and welcoming in the new year. As I sit in my apartment writing up this post, I can’t help but reflect on how incredible this past year has been. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have had & the amazing people I got to meet along the way. It is very scary starting your own business at such a young age. But it is clients like these two that remind me how incredible my job really is!! Meet Heather + Junior! ๐Ÿ™‚

Just a couple weeks ago I met Heather + Junior at their wedding consultation! As we discussed wedding details for next year, we tried to plan a weekend for their engagement session. We decided on a day and just kept our fingers crossed we would not get any rain!! As the weekend was approaching, New England was about to get their first snow storm of the year. Heather right away messaged me about the storm, but I told her not to worry because the first snow fall of every year is always the prettiest! As long as these two did not mind a little adventure in the snow, I had a feeling it was going to be incredible!

I showed up to Borderland Park in Easton, Massachusetts a couple minutes before our session began. Believe it or not, I have been to this park (& photographed in it) several times, but never have I visited when it snowed! We also met during the middle of the day when the sun was at its highest peak. Luckily in the winter time, the sun is not to harsh! Regardless of the conditions, I knew in the back of my mind we were going to create beautiful images! AND WE SURE DID!

I am looking forward to photographing these two on their wedding day next year…. when we have a different season as well! Thank you Heather + Junior for barring the cold weather, hiking in the snow, trusting me with my crazy ideas and for being that couple that makes me realize how incredibly lucky I am to have the BEST job in the world ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope everyone has a safe & happy new year!

It was one of those cold fall days in Boston. The wind was picking up, people were finally breaking out their winter coats & these two embraced the wicked weather without hesitation! I met Marc + Christina in the seaport area of Boston a couple weeks ago for their engagement session and it was quite a chilly day to say the least. But did these two let the weather effect their session?! ABSOLUTELY NOT!

We started by the aquarium and worked our way through out the area. One of the most challenging parts about photographing a session in the city, is trying to capture in beautiful locations when there are constantly people surrounding you. Our session just happen to fall around the after work rush, not to mention the tourists we ran into as well. The great thing about these two, is how patient they were through out our entire session! I would place them in locations (like the middle of the street, I know crazy!) and we would run out real quick capture a shot then run back to let the cars go by. Not to mention the greenway was PACKED with tourists and they patiently held their pose as I waited for the people to get out of the frame. Seriously, I lucked out this day.

Christina + Marc, thank you for being absolute sweethearts & rockstars during your engagement session! I wish you two both the best of luck in planning your cape cod wedding next year ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are my favorite shots from their engagement session in Boston!

Ashley + Mike are the sweetest couple you will ever meet! Their love is so pure & real, they will make you believe in happily ever after. I met these two through a mutual friend of Ashley’s (Thanks Lysssss!) Alyssa ย (Ashley’s best friend from home) and I met in college during our first week of freshman year. When Alyssa reached out to me last year letting me know that one of her friends was looking for a wedding photographer, I was wicked excited to chat details with Ashley! I remember how amazing this couple was from the moment I met them at their engagement session this past winter. They woke up at 5am to have a sunrise session right along the ocean in 10 degree temperatures!!! Not only did they bring their A-game that day, but also on their wedding day as well ๐Ÿ™‚ There is no better feeling as a photographer then when your clients trust you to capture beautiful pictures, (even if it involves your crazy ideas) they know you will get the job done!

I arrived to Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, Massachusetts and met up with my second shooter Kayla. Kayla has been an absolute rock star this entire wedding season, especially during this wedding when she was not feeling well! I am so grateful for her and everything she has done for me this summer ๐Ÿ™‚ Not only did I get to work with such a talented photographer all summer long but I also had a trusting friend I could lean on for support to keep me going all day! Thank you so much Kayla!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is getting to photograph detail shots before the ceremony. I go above and beyond to try and create beautiful scenes that illustrate every part of a couples wedding. Whether it is their shoes, a bottle of perfume, their jewelry they will be wearing or the champagne they are about to open I want to document it all! I understand how expensive a wedding can be, so as my job as a photographer, I capture pictures of all their hard work that went into planning their special day! I always tell my brides when they book with me a year in advance to consider rooms to get ready in with lots of windows! Windows let photographers use all the natural light that shines through, allowing us to create very airy and romantic colors in our pictures. Ashley absolutely nailed it with her suite… lets just say I fell IN LOVE with all the details that day ๐Ÿ™‚

We made our way on to the party bus and headed towards the church down the street for Ashley + Mike’s ceremony. These two decided they wanted to see each other for the first time at the ceremony. I often tend to look at the groom first during church ceremonies when he sees his bride for the first time. That sweet glow in his eye, it as if he and his bride are the only two people standing in the room. The moment is so sacred and I often can feel how emotional they get through my camera. It is pure magic! And of-course these two had the best exit after their ceremony… and it included BUBBLES!

We hopped back on the party bus heading back to the hotel where the fun was just about to begin! Kayla & I took the bridal party out back for some shots before cocktail hour began. I cannot tell you how much fun I had with this group! We spent a good hour photographing them laughing, drinking, fighting over the groom, picking up the bride and of course, stopping to play a game of chess against each other. I could have spent the entire afternoon hanging with that crew. One we finished, it was time to steal Ashley + Mike away for a couple pictures of the two of them…. and the results were breathtaking! (Just wait until you see these two below!) Remember when I mentioned how much they trusted me during their engagement session, they did just that AGAIN on their wedding day! My mind was racing in a million different directions with how many ideas I had for them and they went above and beyond to deliver! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!! Y’all make one stunning couple ๐Ÿ™‚

To think I had the most fun with this group, I should have known the reception would be just as amazing! From the sweet moments during parent dances, to the funniest best man speech I have ever heard, to Ashley pranking Mike by “Icing him” during the garter toss, to teaching her and her entire family how to line dance! I swear I was having so much fun I did not want to leave!!!! Thank you SO much Ashley + Mike for being that couple that every photographer dreams of having as their clients. I hope you two had an incredible honey moon in Maui. DID I MENTION THEY WENT TO MAUI?! One of my favorite places in this entire world and my couple went there for their honey moon! I swear y’all it was meant to be that I met them ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you guys enjoy this post as much as enjoyed putting it together!

If anyone needs to reach me in regards to future sessions I will be on a quick vacation this week visiting family but will return all your emails on Monday! I hope everyone has a safe and fabulous Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy all the time you can this week with your loved ones and cherish all the new memories you will be making!

HOW ADORABLE IS SYDNEY?! She was the cutest ball of energy at her family session in Wellesley last weekend. I met the Long family through the Wellesley Public School system, when I donated a session to a fundraiser they had this past spring. I have been patiently waiting all summer to get a call from the winner and I was thrilled when I finally heard from this family ๐Ÿ™‚ I showed up to their historic home in Wellesley, Massachusetts last Saturday ready to meet the family that won my free session!

Mother nature surprised all of us that weekend with a cold front that came through bringing 20 degree weather! Not only was the weather on the chilly side, but the wind made it feel like below zero! It is so funny to think how Fall in New England this year went from 70 degrees to 20 all in the same month! What was fall weather this year anyway?!

I walked up to their gorgeous home and was greeted by this sweet girl! Sydney goes to the same school as one of the boys I nanny for and I was so excited when she knew who he was! I often joke with Jake (one of the kids I nanny) that he is going to be such a ladies man when he gets older. I could not help but joke around with him that following week mentioning I thought Sydney would be the perfect girlfriend for him! (He is still in that awwwwwww “cooties” phase, but I love joking around with him!) Sydney’s smile would light up a room the second she walked in. She was full of energy that morning and was totally ready for the camera the second she saw me pull it out of my bag. What can I say, this cutie pie was BORN to be in front of the camera!

Needless to say, I met this family for the very first time last weekend and I already feel like I have known them for years. They were the sweetest bunch opening their home to me and trusting me with their pictures. Thank you Long family for bracing that cold Saturday last weekend…. it was totally worth it for these shots!!!!

A sweet auntum wedding at Segregansett Country Club| Taunton, Massachusetts

2017-11-17_0148.jpgI honestly cannot tell you how much fun I had at this wedding! I JUST ADORE THESE TWO. I met Sara through a mutual friend I went to college with (heyyyyyyyy kerrin!) & I will forever be grateful. This couple were not just clients I got to know through out year together, but they have turned into such great friends that I know we can stay in touch with! I could not believe how fast their wedding day came. I remember meeting Sara + David last fall for their engagement session at Borderland, and I swear this entire year flew by. I am so glad it did too, I was patiently waiting for their wedding day all season long ๐Ÿ™‚

I set off to meet up with Sara & her sweet family in the morning while Kayla hung out with the guys as they got ready. I remember arriving to Saraโ€™s house SO excited to see her again! One of the things I love about Sara is how down to earth she is. She was the most carefree happy bride the entire day! When i asked her if I could take a picture of her dress outside on the old barn in the background with out hesitation she said YES! I had to earn a little trust with her bridesmaids, but they went along for it the picture was adorable! Shortly after the champagne was popped, glasses were clinching and the party was starting! Sara had this incredible yellow tree in her front yard that had sunlight beaming down which made for incredible photos! I could have photographed at the tree all day ๐Ÿ™‚

We hopped in the car and made our way to Segragansett Country Club, in Taunton, Massachusetts for their ceremony & reception! Sara + David also had their first look on the golf course before the ceremony began. It was so funny, we lucked out on an incredible warm day for the fall, so not only were we using the golf course for pictures, but we had to share with some last minute golfers that decided to play that day! But this couple did not have the care in the world and I absolutely loved it!

We hopped on a couple golf carts and made are way through the course scouting for gorgeous fall colors! Upon hole 4, we made a pit stop for some photos before making our way to the ceremony. One of my favorite parts about living in New England is how beautiful it can be during the fall. I have never seen a more prettier place to be then Autumn in New England. (You can see what I mean with these pictures below!!!)

We spent about an hour together and then joined the bridal party for some fun pictures before the ceremony began! This bridal party was FULL of energy and kept laughing the entire time. I swear I felt as if i knew them all, we got along so great. I honestly could not have asked for a more perfect day. The ceremony outside was short but sweet and we even had time to sneak in a couple more pictures of Sara + David before the reception began! The country club did an incredible job with their decorations outside, it fit the fall theme quite perfectly!

I would have to say I did not want to leave the reception. This group brought every ounce of energy they had into the most epic night of dancing that I have ever seen. Not to mention my best friend was at the wedding, I was so excited to see her and some other friends there as well! ๐Ÿ™‚ This wedding will forever hold a special place in my heart, the experience, the energy and love that these people had for each other is something I will never forget!!

Thank you Sara + David for having Kayla & I be apart of your special day! I look forward to seeing you guys real soon ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy married life you two!!
